WGU Texas Launch Celebration
On Wednesday, September 21, 2011, students, graduates, state and local officials, and others joined WGU Texas and the Texas Association of Community Colleges (TACC) at the State Capitol in Austin to celebrate the official launch of WGU Texas.
Roughly 100 people attended the launch celebration, including Cynthia Kershaw, an MBA student from Round Rock, Texas, shown on the right holding her WGU Texas pennant. Hundreds more watched live via streaming video online.
At the event, WGU Texas and TACC signed an agreement making the transfer of credits from Texas community colleges to WGU Texas seamless for community college graduates. Read about the benefits to Texas community college graduates here.
