Through Western Governors University, the nursing programs at WGU Texas are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791).

Aimed at addressing Texas's growing shortage of registered nurses, WGU's innovative B.S. in Nursing (Prelicensure) has gained approval from the Texas Board of Nursing. The program combines WGU Texas's online, competency-based education with rigorous clinical experience supervised by qualified nursing faculty.

CAHIIM Accredited

Through Western Governors University, WGU Texas’s Health Information Management program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM).
